HDLB-803 Characteristic Tester and Data Recorder for Generator
Ⅰ Introduction
HDLB-803 multifunctional data monitoring and recording instrument is a portable device which takes DSP and embedded operating system as the core, adopts a three-layer structure system, and realizes the function of data collecting, processing, transmitting and storing.
II Main Functions
Fault recording: HDLB-803 will monitor the signal tested in real time according to the fault criteria pre-defined by the user, and start the waveform recording function in case of the fault while notice the host computer, wherein the data recorded will be saved in a permanent memory, and the data will not be lost in case of power failure. The function can be applied to the operation monitoring of power system or other key devices and used for fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
Real-time monitoring: HDLB-803 accesses to 16 switching values and 18 analogues. HDLB-803 will calculate the effective value of the analogues, calculate the magnitudes (frequency, active power, reactive power, zero sequence, negative sequence and etc.) and calculate harmonic (simultaneously calculating three ways, and up to 21 times) and vector diagram (up to 4 groups, each of which comprises up to 6 analogues) in real time. According to all the data above, the status of switching value and the waveform of the analogue can be displayed in real time. The effective value and switching value can be uploaded to the host computer in real time.
3-day historical curve: HDLB-803 can record the 16 switching values and 8 analogues (optionally, inducing calculated amount) based on the frequency of 1/s, wherein the total time is 3d, and the record is recycled to describe the long-term trend of the signal tested. The data recorded will not be lost in case of power failure.
General starting electric test of power generator: HDLB-803 can conveniently realize the X-Y characteristics test of any two groups of parameters, can be applied to curve fitting, and also can be used for replacing the vibrator oscilloscope to record the effective value of an optional analogue. The function of the HDLB-803 covers the no-load test, short-circuit test and the like of power generator, the step test, de-excitation test, and voltage stepping test from zero and the like of excitation regulator. If the HDLB-803 is applied to the electric test, test efficiency can be improved, measuring accuracy and data processing capacity can be improved, and the automation of electrical test can be realized.
HDLB-803 can be applied to the online monitoring of power system or the key devices of other industries, also can be used as a portable instrument which is applied to the fault monitoring and analysis of the various of industrial equipments; or the HDLB-803 can be used as a data source to provide real-time data to other systems through the data processing and calculation capacity thereof.
III Functions and Features
1.Simultaneous sampling of the 18 analogue of electrical isolation and 16 digital channels:Electrical isolation with voltage resistance of 3,000VDC is applied in the entire input signal processing channel.
2.Flexible sampling frequency:HDLB-803 allows choice of multiply sampling frequency from 10K/s to 100K/s to meet demands of different applications. The highest sampling frequency is 100K/s (2 analogue channel and 16 digital channels), when all the 18 analogue and 16 digital channels are open, the sampling frequency of HDLB-803 will reach 10K/s.
3.Real time calculation of effective value:HDLB-803 conducts non-delayed calculation of effective values for the analogue channel and one point of AC RMS will generate per 20ms.
4.Real time calculation of derived variables:The user may define as many as 24 derived variables, including various types including frequency, active power and reactive power and HDLB-803 conducts non-delay calculation of the derived variables.
5.Conduct real time monitoring to access channels and derived variables and multiply failure start modes are available:HDLB-803 can monitor the access values in real time according to the starting volume, starting mode and starting value set forth by the user and will record waveform with the forms set forth by the user once the monitored access value meet requirements for starting. The failure record file is with storage capacity of 2GB and the HDLB-803 will inform the upper computer(PC) immediately when the two are connected.
6.Electrical test for the generator starting:Access to PC and HDLB-803 can carry out generator starting electrical test, test items including short circuit and no-load tests of the generator and the exciter and the attribute test of the excitation regulator and so on.
7.Real time monitoring:Real time harmonic analysis, real time waveform display and vector diagrams; 6.4”TTF Display Screen,With image resolution of 640*480;
8.Serial port communication: RS-232C: Can be set as half-duplex working timing sequence and can access to RS-485 bus by the RS232/485 converter.
9.10/100Mbps LAN interface:HDLB-803 is equipped with 1 LAN interface and can connect to PC directly as well as access to LAN.
10.PC software runs on Windows and linked through serial ports or the internet interface. It provides real time monitoring, parameters setting, data analysis and electrical test for generator’s starting and so on.

HDLB-803 is equipped with 6 analog signal processing modules and each module is made up of three-way analog channel.

2)16-way simultaneous sampling digital channel
The standard configuration is external passive node and the internal output of the channel is +24V. And upon customer’s requirements, it can be configured as active node within various voltage ranges.
3)24-way real time derived variables
24-way derived variables can be set at the most on HDLB-803 and accuracies of different variables are as follows. Please refer to “3.4 Derived Variables” for detailed types and calculations of derived variables.
